RamJaw is the digital home, written and produced by Ryan M. Jones.
I’m a 27 year-old lawyer from New Jersey with passion in the overlap of technology, design, media, and policy. After several years of running other sites, I decided it was time for me to have a more permanent place for myself on the web.
While in college, I found myself captivated by a small department tucked into the corner of the science building. Four years later, I ended up with an obscure minor in Science, Technology, and Society. My legal education balanced my undergraduate idealism with some old-fashioned realism.
Cutting through the muck
The goal of RamJaw is to share original content, ideas, and commentary with as little bullshit as possible. “Muck” is believed to come from the old Norse word “myki”, meaning Dung. Since then, it now is associated with terms resembling slime, dirt or manure, and in the literary world, insidious writing. I believe much of pop media today is muck and my aspiration is to provide information that gets past the sensationalism that sells copy today. My posts will highlight the silly conclusions published elsewhere and work though the muck to offer my readers well reasoned conclusions.

I use a variety of plugins to adjust how this site functions. I will post more details on the behind the scenes stuff slowly, so I can better explain how they fit into my work process.
